History Head of Department – Full-time

Maplesden Noakes is an 11-18 co-educational non-selective school with approximately 1050 pupils on roll including 200 in the sixth form. The school has an excellent reputation, is popular with parents and regularly over-subscribed. We are seeking to appoint a Head of History from September 2015. This post will carry a TLR 2a (currently £6,322.00 pa)

Currently History operates within the Humanities Faculty but from September 2015 we are reverting back to Heads of Geography, History and RE. The History department is a key department in the school and the subject is popular with students.

Our subject specialisms are Business and Enterprise and Applied Learning and the school benefits enormously from having strong links with the local business community.
